Dr. Brice McMurphy
Dr. Timothy “Brice” McMurphy was born in 1986 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. He grew up in Biloxi, Mississippi, and graduated from Biloxi High School in 2005. Dr. McMurphy then went to Louisiana State University on a full academic scholarship, where he was in Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity and graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biological Sciences in 2009.
Dr. McMurphy attended dental school at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, Mississippi, where he held leadership positions in numerous organizations, and saw his research published in the journal Dental Materials.
After graduating dental school in 2014 he moved back to Baton Rouge, where he completed a 2-year General Practice Residency at LSU, serving as chief resident 2015-2016. In this residency he received advanced clinical training in all fields of dentistry including oral surgery, bone grafting, oral sedation, and placement and restoration of dental implants.
He is currently a resident at the Georgia School of Orthodontics where he is receiving specialty training in traditional orthodontics and Invisalign. His career also includes private practice experience 2015-2017.
In his free time he is a Green Egg grill enthusiast and inspiring mediocre golfer. He enjoys rooting for the Tigers, exploring Atlanta, traveling, working out, being outdoors, working on home-improvement projects, listening to podcasts and audiobooks, binge watching Netflix and HBO, and spending time with his wife, Kendall, and two rambunctious west highland terriers, Porter and Cooper.
